Seabear – Arms Lyrics 14 years ago
All I can say is Seabear is stalking me. I'm obsessed with owls, and have often been referred to as the "owl girl." My recent fiance is the Scarecrow in our upcoming performance of Wizard of Oz. Now how can an already odd combination end up in the lyrics of one of my favorite bands? Coincidence?

Nah. More like a sign.

The XX – Blood Red Moon Lyrics 14 years ago
Yeah this song is definitely a hard one. To me, it reminds me of a comic book super hero. At the beginning when it has the sirens and the cackled laughter as if a criminal just escaped a police car. The term "Blood Red Moon" symbolizes how it seems this comic book city is always in the dark, and at night has continuous bloddy crimes taken place. So wen it says "Picture me under blood red moon, I'll make your eyes turn yellow, Make your skin turn blue." It's like the super hero saying "picture seeing me standing before you (the criminal) under the moon, I'll make your eyes yellow and skin blue from fright, seeing me and knowing you've been caught." Then, it's almost sarcasticly caring for the criminal by saying "I know, I know, I know, That it's hard to see, I know, I know, I know." Like saying "I know, I know, you can't believe your eyes, you were so certain you escaped, now poor thing you're frightened." Then it gets back to serious by saying "I know, I know, I know, That you're all I see, I know, I know, I know." Like "Now all my focus is on you, you're all I see, you're my objective." I know that's not the real meaning, but that's how I interpret it in my own little world.

Muse – Resistance Lyrics 15 years ago
Okay wow so I just recently bought the CD and LP on iTunes and for those of you saying "OK, this is quite obviously about 1984. There's almost no room for misinterpretation so everyone who has, pick up your game!" eh hem, "motherwar xx", here's what the LP says Matt said this song was about:

". . .It is very much based on the book '1984' by George Orwell. . ." ". . .The song is also about ANY LOVE WHICH CROSSES BOUNDARIES SUCH AS RELIGION OR STRONG POLITICAL BELIEFS AND THE SUBSEQUENT RECOGNITION OF THE UNIMPORTANCE AND DIVERSENESS OF SUCH BELIEFS." THEREFORE, it could be about Gay's. It could be about and number of things.
