The first time I heard this i wasn't playing that close attention to it and from the line "You suddenly complete me" i just got the feeling of the begining of falling in love when your so comsumed by the other person you just feel 100%, entirely complete, and comfortable. After paying more attention to the song it is obvious it's real meaning is a reuniting of past lover but I still can't shake the feeling of first love and was wondering if any one else got this feeling from this song? |

From the since time I've heard this song I get a very strong "halo" vibe from it. You know the Beyonce song. It's probably just because the back beats are so similar. Does anyone else here it or am I just crazy. Just listen to the intro of both song they're very similar |

I always thought the song was just about the feeling where you go all breathless and you heart starts pounding and you can't really control yourself because you like that person so much and because of that you can't bring yourself to tell this person your feelings. Just my thoughts. |

I would agree with your-ferdinand in someways. It is definetly sarcastic but i think the song is has a little more self pity in it. No one likes leftovers and he comments on this when he says, "Said that second place is just my style" he saying he is alway in second and someones leftover never in a really good relationship.
