| I think that line has to do with the line about driving home. I think he's pretty much saying, if you could see what i do when i'm alone you'd get me even less. in this case he's using the example of the car. I see it as him kind of singing in the car like many of us do, with no inhibitions, thus the line, " i need a windsheild built for war, that can withstand my confidence." just my interpretation. | |
