| Regina Spektor – Ode to Divorce Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The first song I ever heard by Regina. Still love it. | |
| Franz Ferdinand – Michael Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Haha, I'm definitely secretly have a crush on one of my best friends who's named Michael. So this song always makes me laugh and think of him, he'd definitely love it even if he is straight. | |

I'm not gonna debate about the whole coke vs. eating disorder thing (though I always took it as an eating disorder). Just wanted to say that I adore this song and that I think it's about more than one thing. I'm also always reminded of realizing that relationships and other things in your life aren't perfect and that you want to change yourself but don't know how.. |

| Kate Nash – Skeleton Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Wow, I get something completely different from this song. I think that it's about how she has skeletons in her closet and wants to get them out in the open but is scared to. And I should have known That it wouldn't be long until you You've got me standing in an awkward position With unwanted attention And a need for explanation And it's not that I'm letting go of you But I dunno what to do The "skeletons in her closet", or secrets, can lead her into awkward situations and she's tired of it. She wants to tell everyone but is too scared to. And sometimes, at night I dream of the most terrible things I take a hammer and I creep out of bed And I raise it high, and I smash your head Fibular and tibular and ribs and cages, too In fact, while I'm here, I'll smash the whole of you Sometimes she dreams of telling everyone and getting rid of all of her secrets. I don't know, that's how I always perceived this song. |

| The Dresden Dolls – Sing Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Obviously it's about free speech. But I also think that it's about using music to change the world, to fight for a cause, to show someone you care. This song made me cry the first time I heard it because it's exactly how I feel about singing. My friends, my family, none of them understand my love of singing, it's something I'll never be able to give up. This song explains it perfectly. I don't care if it's not really about a love of music, to me it says in words exactly what I wish I could explain to the world about music and the people who love it. |

| Regina Spektor – Sailor Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This always struck me as Mary Ann is the only girl on the ship and all of the sailors are lonely and horny from being at sea for so long and she won't have sex with them. | |
| Regina Spektor – Field Below Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I agree with bronyraur about the vagina thing, it's always signified pubic hair to me since I first heard it. Her love lives far away from the city. | |
| Regina Spektor – Carbon Monoxide Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I thought this song said "Come home Daddy" for the longest time and it was about a child trying to kill themselves because their Dad left. I still think it's about suicide though. | |
| Billy Bragg – Brickbat Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Obviously this song is pretty self-explanatory. I just had to post a comment though, because it is one of my all-time favorite songs, like in the top three. I cried the first time I heard it. This and "Accidental Babies" by Damien Rice are the two saddest songs ever written in my opinion. | |
