i agree with DanielNZ cause that's basically how i interperted it. just a friend who needs another friend, but wants the other friend to do whatever they gotta do to make themselves happy, but he's gotta tell that friend what he/she does to him and why they're friends. omg and seriously somebody compared twilight to this? wow wow wow. that whole saga is bad and should not be used to discribe this wonderful song. |

this is my favorite song ever by ville and it has become my fav song of any song i've ever heard. the meaning and simplicity of it moves me. it makes my heart ache. i use it as a spirit lifter too. i think, the meaning is simple. ville wrote it for his friend. his friend chose suicide. ville was depressed for awhile and didn't have high spirits and he chose song to keep himself going. i always think weaping myself alive for ville would be he sings his misery and plays with sorrow, but the music lifts himself up so he's still alive and going. thank god. |

this song is just simple. i really love jason. i'm very fond of his movies and now his music. i think, this song is just about him loving somebody, but they aren't around and they just forget about him for whatever the reason is. he still loves them, but tries giving up and pushing them out of his mind. however though just when he's about to completely forget the person calls him up for some reason. then he remembers and he doesn't really know how to react so he just says he's been around. he's wandering caue he doesn't know what else to do and he's trying to forget. at least i think, this is what it means just because i'm in a situation at the moment like this. i can relate to it with the way i interpent it. lovely song. lovely sound. i'm really happy with it. it's not surprising to me that he does indie music. |

i don't think it's one of ville's most lyrical songs. it is simple and doesn't have much depth and metaphor in it. i don't think he wanted it that way. if he did he would've made it more complicated. usually his lyrics are deep and have more than one meaning to them. the actual meaning is one so deep and secret only ville knows. he has said this before. so for people who say this is a poor written song i think, they're wrong. i think, he wanted it simple. simple so people could have a song to uplift them in rough times. a song to make them feel loved. a simple song everyone understands. at least that's how it is for me. it's one of my favorite songs by them. i'm getting the line baby, just don't close your heart tattooed small on the back of my next soon. |
