i may be playing this a little too much into my personal life, but i think this song is about a struggling relationship. he thinks he and his lover are total opposites... "this love is a lie I’m a chemical kid, you’re a mechanical bride" even tho the relationship is struggling, he remembers the good times they had together "To count the moments on account of the way you smile for me Oh, we’re in slow motion when you smile for me" but i think this line means he's been looking at other women too... "But oh my god, I’ve been looking" In the end she breaks up with him, and ironiclly he still has feelings for her "What if I still care?" He learns to move on and put her behind him... "As you fall asleep it reminds me of the slow symphonies behind me" |
