ok...hopefully this doesn't offend people, or insult their intelligence..or even..ruin the credibility that this site has with it's VERY insightful people..ok..so.. Ok, plain and simple..this song IS about heroine..i know..because i've felt these same emotions when i was a user as well..(clean 6 years, im 25) the lyrics... Strung out and thin, Calling some friend, Trying to cash some check He's acting dumb, That's what you've come to expect you're so thin from constant ignorant use, you're trying to get someone you know who just got paid, "hey man,cmon, cash that check we gotta call so and so". You get to the dealer, who is taking his sweet time when you all you want is that hit. It's happened so many times that you've come to say "it's gonna be atleast an hour at so and so's house" needle in the hay...where is the H, it's panic junky talk. im assuming its about pleading to get onto that personal level with a girl instantly without having to go through with a bunch of time that would allow trust to permit that kind of relationship..almost as if the singer is confident that he's genuine enough. Great song..i can see where he;s coming from.. |

I cant help but feel like the bat, touch the sky reference is linked to the woke up at midnight? Its..like an oxymoron? a double negative? Maybe the song is about feeling you're opposite from everything else out there, but, you still want to leave which means doing something contradictory to what you are. ...i think... |
