Emo lyrics are a bunch of bull. They are just a bunch of middle class kids crying about that time when their dog was run over by a car or when that average-looking girl turned them down for a date to prom. Emo bands are carbon-copies of each other. Dir en grey is unique and amazing. I don't care what you say about Kyo's past, the man has obviously suffered some pain in his life. He can't be faking all of that. Go fuck yourself. His stage show is better than anything any other band has to offer and I don't care what you have to say. American music can go suck a dick. What do you like? Bands that swing their guitars and mikes in circles and flip their hair? Your opinions are pathetic. |

This song also hits very close to home for me. This is how I feel and how I see the world around me. Kyo sings this song with such passion and familiarity that there is no doubt this is how he feels as well. |

Also each time he is in a new relationship in life he tries to find a mother in them. Each woman he is with becomes his mother in a sense and each time he loses one he loses the mother that loved him before the wrong once again. Sad song but I love it and can sympathize. Prob. in my top 3 Diru songs. |

| This song is from the viewpoint of a child who has been wronged by his mother sometime in the past. Whether it was physical abuse, sexual abuse or something else entirely. This wrong has caused him a lot of grief in his life and he feels betrayed and resents his mother for commiting the wrong. He resents her so much that he no longer thinks of her as a mother but the embodiment of his pain. And each day he has to remember the pain she has caused him and the memories open fresh wounds each time he reflects on them. | |

I think that it has less to do with an "innapropriate" love affair and more to do with the end of a long and meaningful relationship. I think it has a lot to do with struggling to move forward in life after your heart has been badly broken, yet still holding onto the memories of the love that has gone. "I open out my wings of glass. Up and towards the wind-melted future" to me means that the protagonist is making an effort to move forward but still feels fragile after being wounded like that. "I lay my head on top of the heavy and closed out door and I pray" to me means that he is dwelling on his memories of the past, the past that is gone and can never be experienced again (it is closed off to him), and he is praying that he can get ahead after the end. Praying that he can be happy again after being thrust into darkness. I don't think the line about the child being born pure has anything to do with a real child. I think it has more to do with the fact that the future will be pure of the one he lost, the future will not involve her. And he thinks that without her the future will be empty of substance. Whatever it means it is a very beautiful song. It has become one of my favorite Dir en grey songs. |

| I love this song! It is obviously about the end of a very meaningful relationship. It is about moving forward into the future after your heart has been broken. | |

This song is one of the best songs of all time and the video is the best I have ever seen in my life. I saw them in Dallas back in November and they opened with this song. It was amazing. |
