I think this song is about something someone's gone through that they avoid talking about because they are trying to believe that it didn't happen. The song is trying to say that, it's okay to talk about things and that someone out there can relate and understand you. So it's okay to feel the way you do, it's okay to talk abou it. Beautiful song, my favorite by Pillar. |

From the chorus, I always thought it was about disassociation. Which is when someone feels like they're in a dream, when really they're in reality. The verses thuogh, seem to actually be about some sort of dream he is having that is causing him to be bothered for some reason. Maybe a dream about the fear of the unknown? I don't know. |

I think it's about someone who tries to take things away from you. They do things for you and always expect something in return. The chorus is stating that the person doesn't understand what you're trying to tell them when you try to explain things to them. "I want to be in the energy, not with the enemy, a place for my head" A place where there is positiveness (if thats a word) not someone bringing you down. A safe place to rest your head.
