Morrissey – Glamorous Glue Lyrics

I'm sure 'the jar' refers to drinking pints rather than voting/killing jars.
Then again, with Mozzer I'm never 100% certain on anything, which is part of his enduring appeal to me :o) |

I hope now you're 21 you've realised INXS were utter guff. RHCP were interesting in 1991, but have been unmercifully dull since... |

Morrissey – Interesting Drug Lyrics

I've always thought that it's partly about mortgages, and partly about prescription drugs. I could be completely wrong on both counts, and that's what makes Morrissey so incredibly interesting himself.... |

Despite the diabolical English (I'd really expect a greater level of literacy from a Morrissey fan!), this is a good interpretation. |

Manic Street Preachers – Just A Kid Lyrics

This song is gorgeous, should have been on the patchy (but brilliant in places) Know Your Enemy, perhaps there are no comments because it's self-explanatory... It's lovely though, and only the Manics can do this type of song.... Viva the manics. |

Manic Street Preachers – Nat West-Barclays-Midlands-Lloyds Lyrics

Banks cause death, wait until Cameron's cuts really sink in and you'll see... They caused the recession and the cuts will kill poor people.... I can't believe this was written 20 years ago, it's more relevant today than when it was written..... The manics are geniuses, especially Richey... |

Morrissey – Bengali In Platforms Lyrics

Morrissey is not racist. He's moral to the core. He was asked what the strangest story he'd ever read about himself and he replied 'that I'm racist. It's totally unsubstantiated. Just like the notion that Tony Blair was a good Prime Minister'. |

Why do so many on here immediately assume every Morrissey song has homosexul connotations?? It's bizarre! |

Morrissey – Suedehead Lyrics

Possibly because most people are idiots and don't appreciate his genius. Most dismiss him by saying 'he's depressing', when the fact is, he's funnier than most comedians, and more uplifting than most singers. Westlife and Simply Red are really depressing. Morrissey was sent from above to cheer intellectuals up. He'll be missed when he goes, that is for certain. |

Morrissey – How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel? Lyrics
| 13 years ago
|
Iraq? That is completely ridiculous. I chuckled at the awful use of English by the English teacher! A lot of Morrissey's songs are extremely deep and either difficult or impossible to decipher the meaning of. However, this one is straighforward. He clearly has experience (as most of us do) of people trying to understand how he feels, and of course, no-one can ever know how someone else feels at any given time. |
