Morrissey – The National Front Disco Lyrics 13 years ago
It's not racist and neither is Morrissey, but I still clam up when it comes on my mp3 player and I'm on the bus...

Morrissey – Glamorous Glue Lyrics 13 years ago
I'm sure 'the jar' refers to drinking pints rather than voting/killing jars.

Then again, with Mozzer I'm never 100% certain on anything, which is part of his enduring appeal to me :o)

Morrissey – Pashernate Love Lyrics 13 years ago
Laugh if you like, but this is about Bernard Bresslaw

Or correct spelling... Apart from Moz of course

The Smiths – Panic Lyrics 13 years ago
I hope now you're 21 you've realised INXS were utter guff. RHCP were interesting in 1991, but have been unmercifully dull since...

The Smiths – You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby Lyrics 13 years ago
Well, if you read it in a book, it MUST be true

Morrissey – Interesting Drug Lyrics 13 years ago
I've always thought that it's partly about mortgages, and partly about prescription drugs. I could be completely wrong on both counts, and that's what makes Morrissey so incredibly interesting himself....

Morrissey – I've Changed My Plea To Guilty Lyrics 13 years ago
Colin Meloy is an absolute joke. If he was any good he wouldn't do so many covers. Morrissey is a genius, a poet, an amazing vocalist and an ORIGINAL.

Morrissey – I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris Lyrics 13 years ago
This is clearly about Oscar Wilde, seriously, do people really believe Morrissey is attracted to buildings? Frightening!

Morrissey – Found Found Found Lyrics 13 years ago
Despite the diabolical English (I'd really expect a greater level of literacy from a Morrissey fan!), this is a good interpretation.

I think you'll find 'Kevin Carter' is about Kevin Carter mate

Manic Street Preachers – Emily Lyrics 13 years ago
Again, this is half about Richey, half about Emily Pankhurst

Again, this is half about Richey, half about Emily Pankhurst

Manic Street Preachers – Be Natural Lyrics 13 years ago
It's a simple, but effective lyric. Be natural, not contrived, be yourself, don't act unnaturally

Manic Street Preachers – Just A Kid Lyrics 13 years ago
This song is gorgeous, should have been on the patchy (but brilliant in places) Know Your Enemy, perhaps there are no comments because it's self-explanatory... It's lovely though, and only the Manics can do this type of song.... Viva the manics.

Manic Street Preachers – Nat West-Barclays-Midlands-Lloyds Lyrics 13 years ago
Banks cause death, wait until Cameron's cuts really sink in and you'll see... They caused the recession and the cuts will kill poor people.... I can't believe this was written 20 years ago, it's more relevant today than when it was written..... The manics are geniuses, especially Richey...

Manic Street Preachers – Comfort Comes Lyrics 13 years ago
This is my favourite song by my favourite band, beautiful, brutish, powerful, intelligent and frankly it f**king rocks too!

submissions
Manic Street Preachers – (It's Not War) Just The End Of Love Lyrics 13 years ago
Partly about relations between countries, partly about Richey

Morrissey – Bengali In Platforms Lyrics 13 years ago
Morrissey is not racist. He's moral to the core. He was asked what the strangest story he'd ever read about himself and he replied 'that I'm racist. It's totally unsubstantiated. Just like the notion that Tony Blair was a good Prime Minister'.

Morrissey – Suedehead Lyrics 13 years ago
Why do so many on here immediately assume every Morrissey song has homosexul connotations?? It's bizarre!

Morrissey – Suedehead Lyrics 13 years ago
Possibly because most people are idiots and don't appreciate his genius. Most dismiss him by saying 'he's depressing', when the fact is, he's funnier than most comedians, and more uplifting than most singers. Westlife and Simply Red are really depressing. Morrissey was sent from above to cheer intellectuals up. He'll be missed when he goes, that is for certain.

Morrissey – How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel? Lyrics 13 years ago
Iraq? That is completely ridiculous. I chuckled at the awful use of English by the English teacher! A lot of Morrissey's songs are extremely deep and either difficult or impossible to decipher the meaning of. However, this one is straighforward. He clearly has experience (as most of us do) of people trying to understand how he feels, and of course, no-one can ever know how someone else feels at any given time.
