This is defiantly at the top of my favorite songs. It's so pretty and the tune/beat of the song is just...gah! Amazing. ;D The meaning can be taken in several different ways but it's defiantly about having possession of something, aka 'my red star'. But since Rainbow apparently explained it as to having to do with school, I agree with that the most. lol. "Celebrating Imitation" is my favorite part because in school people want to fit in and be like others to be cool and popular, which is imitation. But in reality, you should be yourself because Imitation is suicide. (: |

The Birthday Massacre is by far my favorite band and this song is my favorite! ; The main reason being that I can relate to the lyrics. Every time I listen to it I think of a fairytale gone bad. Rather a 'Tainted Fairytale' and how we wish that our life was like a fairytale, when in reality - it isn't. With this said, I agree with mattitude12341's and torturedsoul's comments! :D As well as the fairytale I believe this song is about life overall, especially about relationships and love. Example: This story's missing a wishing well - We can't wish for what happens. No mirror to show and tell - Nothing can foresee the future, or tell the truth. No kiss that can break the spell - No kiss, no love = the 'spell' of being alone [just a thought lol] I'm falling asleep Every Prince is a fantasy - It's hard to find true love, and that every 'Prince' or perfect guy is something that can only be fantasized about. The witch is inside of me - A feeling of doing wrong. [Witch=Evil] The poison will wash away The memory - I feel this is a depressing line, as if they're planning to do something to 'wash away' the memory, to rid of the pain ‘poison’. Above are my favorite lines of the whole song, and the lines that remind me of a fairytale. To me this song is sad and somewhat depressing although it's beautiful and makes me happy when I listen to it. Haha. ;D I know this is my interpretation but I'm wondering if anyone else agrees. :) Thankies. TBM. <3 SassyKittyDoll x |
