explain better when you're tryin' to see some better days This line stood out to me. She allows this guy to come back because its something different than she has been used to, since he was never there. This line points out the fact that when you are struggling and simply desperate for change, you do irrational things and think they might be for the better. How do you explain better, if all Im looking for is change and anything different that comes my way? In this case its this guy coming back, but the line can be used to interpret any other stage of life. |

The motive of the bird going south on the Atmos’ ^^^ Did anybody catch on to that line? This ties to how Slug refers to girls as birds (Bird Sings Why the Caged I Know). This just talks about the girl going down on him. Its a heavily sexual song, but this girl is drugged up. I figured this song was Slug writing through Ant's perspective. Basically just rambling about how Slug complains about life and tells him all these stories. But that "Looking Down From Tall Heels" line kinda threw me off....I think it might be "Looking down from tall hills" The second verse basically sums up the idea of Ant saying "Damn Slug...I know that you went through alot, and life isn't easy, but you could have done much better. But I do see why you chose to write the stories that you write, and I cant hate on that." |
