Yeah they signed the treaty but as you know news wasn't as fast as it was back then as it is now. The Treaty of Ghent had been signed on 24 December 1814, but news of the peace would not reach the combatants until February, and the final battle of 1812 was in march if i'm not mistaken if not the spring of 1815. |

I listened to Jon talk about how the song was originally written to himself. Thought it was awesome for the sheer fact that the artist wrote a song to himself daring himself to move closer to God and when he falls from the weight of the world to get back up and trip again to run after God. Peace Easy and God Speed. |

Awesome couldn't have said it better...haha been there and done that. I have the whole wardrobe not just the t-shirt. With all thanks to god i'm back in action. The song kind of reminds me of Jezebel and Ahab. ha. What ever she wants for what ever he thought he needed. in the end cost alot of people there lives. |

I know it might mean something else, but i have a really close relationship with this friend of mine and i'm always finding songs that relate to his and my walk together and when i go through hard times i can easily see him singing this song to me. It gives a hope for a better tomorrow, like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. the last stanza is just a glimpse into the future. Its a beautiful song and i love it. Where i'm right or not is besides the point, its just how i feel about the song. ha |
