The View – One Off Pretender Lyrics 16 years ago
Ahh.. I love the way he sings
'Make you shiver a little'
'Cause it actually does kinda make me shiver
Also love
'This is your life don't waste it
Why don't you run away?'

I still haven't managed to work out exactly what this songs about
Something like
People pretending to be what they're not
And people pretending in general
Lies
Stuff like that..

The View – Gran’s For Tea Lyrics 16 years ago
I love both their voices..
Does anyone else think the whole 'Wish I was at my Gran's for tea' thing is kinda cute?
I think it's basically about life in Dryburgh
There might be some deeper meaning, but if there is then I've missed it..

The View – Gem of a Bird Lyrics 16 years ago
Does anyone know what they're saying at the end of this song?
It's kinda hard to hear 'cause of their accents and they've made it all echoey
I just hear the word 'Blood' a lot
And it seems to be Kyle and Kieren arguing over something
It's definitely mostly Kyle talking..

Anyone?

Bright Eyes – Arc of Time (Time Code) Lyrics 17 years ago
I've just listened to this song for the first time and only half-read the lyrics, but to me it seems like it is at least partly about the fact that, no matter how you choose to live your life, we all die in the end...

Bright Eyes – Let's Not Shit Ourselves (To Love and to Be Loved) Lyrics 17 years ago
Well I awoke in relief, my sheets and tubes were all tangled
Weak from whiskey and pills in a Chicago hospital
And my father was there, in a chair by the window
Staring so far away
I tried talking, just whispered, "So sorry, so selfish"
He stopped me and said, "Child, I love you regardless
There's nothing you could do that would ever change this
I'm not angry, it happens
But you just can't do it again"

I've heard that he tried to kill himself once in Chicago.
I think maybe this part of the song is referring to that...
