| Bob Dylan – Maggie's Farm Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
i think this is about a government which treats its citizens like shit. well, that is the maggies farm. and maggies brother represent the greedy capitalist class elites who treat the workers badly. "I got a head full of ideas That are drivin' me insane. It's a shame the way she makes me scrub the floor." these lines means that this individual have the potential to be great, but the system f*cks him so badly that their talents are wasted.he is over worked and under paid. maggies pa is the corrupt politician. and maggies ma is the idealogues who support this corrupt system. hence; "Everybody says She's the brains behind pa." this could be the lawmakers, people from the justice departments, or religious leaders. in this case the church leaders. but this does not make dylan a socialist, liberal or anything. he is always against injustice. does not mean he follows a certain idea. and why does every song have to be about drugs. everysingle song have atleast on intepretation that says its about drugs. this song is nothing about drugs. the last part of the song have some kinda nonconformist ideas. and this is also reflected in the first part where he talks of his potentials and how it is wasted because of the system. |

| Bob Dylan – It's All Over Now, Baby Blue Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i was just listening to this song and thought baby blue is the sea. probably not what this song really means. but still i saw a giant wave that takes away people and stuff. and one more thing... i believe there is a mistake in the lyrics given here. it is not "All your reindeer armies, are all going home" but it is "you empty handed armies, is all going home"...maybe this is one version. | |
