The title, as hopperface said, is "Veneno Para Las Hadas", which is the Spanish for "poison for the fairies". The Insurgentes book says "a bottle not for keeping poison for the fairies", but it's quite clear that it's sharing, not keeping. Anyway, the meaning's almost the same. I think the meaning of the first strophe is quite clear, while I can't really understand what the second one is about. Just wondering... The line "a bottle not for keeping poison for the fairies" is written in the page next to one of the many disturbing pictures of dolls in the book... Could there be a sort of association between the dolls of the pics and the fairies of the lyrics? (you can see what I'm talking about in a pic in the official Insurgentes website...) |

My own interpretation of the chorus was "Feel no shame to break Be afraid to wait forever" but also this interpretation could be correct. We'll see when the official lyrics will (hopefully) come out... Anyway, I don't think the song's necessarily about Harmony Korine. Think to Porcupine Tree's "Tinto Brass", I've read that Steven Wilson named that song this way just because he liked the sound of that name, without even knowing who Tinto Brass was (the part when he says he didn't know anything about him is on the Stupid Dream's Wikipedia page, but I can't remember where I read he named the song Tinto Brass because he liked the sound, sorry). I think he just likes Harmony Korine for his art or his name as well, but I don't see any direct relationship between the song and Harmony Korine himself. However, I don't know much about this artist, so if anyone can tell us more about him it would be very helpful to understand the lyrics! |

Just a correction: it's "now the nails have been driven", not "now who knows what you're dreaming". This is one of the few lines written in the Insurgentes book, so I thought it would have been helpful to put them here to understand the whole song, while waiting for official lyrics on the website. Thank you very much for the other lines anyway! |

In the Insurgentes book the line is "dreams enter plains, scatter remains". I also think it's "the rope you used to tie your soul", not "your rope you used to tie yourself", but this could be wrong, I'm not English and I can't understand the words he says perfectly. Anyway, very obscure (for me) but beautiful lyrics. |
