It's actually a medical/scientific fact that to achieve our optimal state of being as human beings (diet-wise, anyway), it's most nutritional to consume a mix of vegetables -and- animals. We're omnivores, down to the teeth. And no, animals are -not- people, thus being the reason behind us calling them animals. I'm all for stopping cruelty to animals, but I personally find them to be rather tasty. Besides, eating to many carrots turns you yellow. And I don't appreciate someone trying to shove propagandic nonsense down my throat at sites where it doesn't belong. |

Normally I wouldn't bother responding someone so ignorantly slated towards one opinion, but I have nothing better to do today. I honestly doubt that is the reasoning behind that line. "The angry are animals, senseless and savage." Sticking with the theme of what he's saying in this song, the overly angry are irrational and... well, senseless and savage. "They act without order in logical lapses." You might like to reword that phrase, as it makes sense to more people if it reads: "In lapses of logic, they act without order." That line is just speaking on the savagery of a person that's angry to the point of senselessness again. "They stain their mouths with blood." This, in my opinion, is referencing the fact that if you allow yourself to be consumed by rage, you can do horrific things that have severe consequences. One could argue that the horrific things in this instance is the act of eating an animal, but that doesn't fit in with the theme of this song at all. In fact, if there were some random line in here about liberating animals it would stick out like a sore thumb and quite possibly ruin the song. Furthermore, if the meaning behind this phrase were about rescuing animals (because they deserve to be free, and are goodness, and people that eat them i.e. the angry people are badness, yadda yadda more ingorant dribble) why would he use the very word 'animals' as a metaphor to describe these "murderers" (as you put it)? |

I'm truly shocked that no one has commented on this magnificent song yet. It manages to capture a feeling of despairing darkness, and is rather beautiful, although in my opinion the chorus probably could've been better. As for the meaning.. well I haven't but the vaguest clue. It obviously speaks of world troubles, and perhaps it's about struggling to see what the human race does, and resisting the urge to hate and despise it. |
