I guess I don't really see the whole future and anarchist part to this song like some have said, I think it is more talking about someone who is angry and unable to express their anger to the world, forcing it to swell inside of them. I think he is inferring that the person's anger came from when he or she was young and first began to witness all of the evil in the world, and the narrator is trying to convince this person to let out her feelings of anger and hate because it is eating at their relationship and he is "drifting away" from her. |

I personally think this is one of the best Muse songs. When I first read the title, it seemed as if it meant falling in love, not falling out of touch with himself and the world he had imagined. I think it is so much more than just about a relationship.. its about giving up on their old dreams and instead starting fresh. I think he just doesnt understand what went wrong, and feels as if he is being ripped from his fantasy world and thrown into reality. He wants to end all of the issues in his past and just begin again. And I agree with xpwoppa, maybe it could be referring to someone other than a lover, it could be a friend, relative, or even just society in general |
