"The pursuit begins when this portrayal of life...ends" - This line is the one that stands out to me the most, it always has even before I knew that the album was called. After listening to the song more than 100 times just to try and fully understand and feel. Everytime I listen to it, its almost as if I am being reminded of my past situation. But I think he is referring to the famous, "the pursuit of happiness" begins when we let go of our regrets and our sorrows that tie us down. That same sorrow that lead him to write these songs, is the one preventing him from being happy. I don't know why but I never looked at it like that until today I heard the song again and it hit me, only after I moved on completely did I begin to feel true happiness again. I think the cd is one whole story, and you can put it together also by how the cd begins and ends with the same "camera rolling like" sound. R - |
