Symmetries, not cemeteries. If you listen to the song, these lyrics are wrong. he doesn't say cemetERies. Hope that helps in your analysis. and for original plan, maybe it wasn't important, hence not included. Maybe it didn't work, and he realised even trying, whatever it was, was a bad idea. |

First Verse: He is saying he found something nice he thought he lost after clearing out his mind and his past mistakes. He rediscovered something important. Hes saying goodbye to his past. Second Verse: He decided to not use up his backup plan because he realised it was flawed, and perhaps the first plan worked. I think it might also mean that he would have had to use some real good friends, which he decided he did not want to do. Chorus: Something good always comes from something bad. There is always something in there that is good, whether lesson learned or something gained. We're golden means we're all ok. Third Verse: He realised he shouldn't judge other people, and theres nothing more he can do about the flaws, or maybe he decided to work on them, and didn't want the list to remind him of how bad he was. Fourth Verse: PEOPLE OH MY GOODNESS ITS SYMMETRIES! not cemeteries, do you hear him say cemeteries? NO. LISTEN TO THE SONG. hes saying you can't see the forest for all the similar things in life, people are looking at small similar things instead of looking at big issues. Fifth Verse: Probably about a love for God, or perhaps just people in general. He realised he needs to love people, which set it free. |
