Definate good point, but I personally think it's more of a song about rebellion... Cliche, I know, but Darby wanted to do something different... I mean he was a facsist, and also recruited people to join his cause, ect... And peer pressure wasn't the thing, cuz he pressured other people into following him, as apart of him wanting to be a facsist leader. He himself pressured others, and not to mention did heroin, ect... Pressure wasn't a problem. "Looking for a way out, I put my foot out of line" Could mean he's looking for a way out of the normal trend of things, so he steps out of line, meaning not conforming. "Really like to breakout, I feel so confined" Means he's trying to find a way to be different, and not be confined by the usual trend. "American Leather, the poisonous members" The people he recruits for his 'cause'. "Not alone-not together" Meaning their all together, but not in a conformity sort of way. "I know that kinda feeling, so I built my place up high" Could mean he's been in the spot of conforming before, so he rebelled and placed himself in a higher place, so gain a following. "You'll never find me kneeling, cause Im too occupied" Kneeling as in bowing down to a leader, and he's occupied doing what he wants. |
