Great song, one of my favourites XD This is all I have to say, althought my opinion won't really account for much: when he says "salty cheeks" it sounds EXACTLY like "salted cheese". I seriously thought that was what it was, XD |

Great song, absolutely brilliant. He really expresses emotion through music and vocals amazingly. Meaning is pretty clear. |

I reckon it's about politicians and how, after an election we wonder how they are going to act, run the country to their standards or ours? Meh, I'm staring through probably naive eyes here. |

Duh. Jeez, maybe the whole "starts to smoke marijuana" thing could be WHY ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST! The guns and everything could be a whole metaphor for drugs. |

| Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Albert Goes West Lyrics

WOO first post! :P Firstly, this is the best album Nick Cave has done XD
Okay, I think it's about the aftermath of a relationship has become rocky, causing change in the character. "The light upon your rainy streets offers many reflections" could refer to the sadness of his girlfriend giving many opinions about him, and "I won't be held responsible for my actions," I think, gives his opinion of exactly that. Yet the characters, "Albert", "Henry", "Bobby" etc. are reffering to parts of him travelling, i.e. changing, and "Henry" who ended up "sucking a revolver" could mean parts of him that abuse others could have been completely changed; he works to eliminate them, in order to save his relationship.
I don't know, I could be completely off the target and sorry it's so jerky and unclear :P. |

Great song, the meaning is pretty clear. I wonder why they said "it just didn't work" when asked why they never played it live? |

I Love the tango-ish tune to it, and the video clip is kind of funny, just in parts you can see tiny bloopers :P but Muse is the best band ever, right up at the top of my list XD. |

People are saying it's about personification given to his guitar, and that could tie into how Dom said in an interview that it's about giving emotions to inanimate objects like "a child's teddy bear or a computer" (I think he said computer, just bear with me :) ). Great song, anyhoo, Muse is da bomb!! |

Twilight fanatics (no offence :P): just so you know, Muse didn't write this song for Twilight. Although I like the series myself, I agree with some of the points the Muse-fans-who-hate-Twilight have put forth. |

Not meaning to be offensive or anything but I don't really think Muse would write about that, it's too below them, but you're right, best song ever :) |

| The Strokes – Ize of the World Lyrics

I think it's like the "eyes of the world", they just cleverly mixed it in with the "-ize" in the lyrics. Because it's about politics, and how we, the population of the world, are influenced and how the politicians affect us, so we are like the "eyes (or ize) of the world"... I could be completely wrong, but that's my input.
On a last note: THIS SONG ROCKS!! XD :P |
