| It's about the misconceptions and prejudices caused by unbridgeable gaps in society. The generation gaps, class gaps, culture gaps and it's highlighting the fear and mistrust on one hand and the wrongly held assumptions on the other. | |

I have always felt that Elvis IS his dad, or a memory/ghost of him and his dad's passed away. He never could communicate with his dad and the song represents the rambling way we think subjectively when faced with important but unconstructable feelings. This ghost still "visits" him and Karn, and she copes so much better because she is less attached, sees him on a different level, and has no baggage. His dad is Elvis - his hero - who should be missed as much as Elvis is. I'd welcome any thoughts/comments. |
