I always like to think this is about the British Empire. I mean I know it isnt but its a nice thought. the lyric "revolutionaires wait for my head on a silver plate" I kind of get the impression of all the revolts in Africa for independance. I think if you know much about the old Empire and the Imperialism we had, then listen to this song with this in mind I think you may feel the same........ |

awesome track!!! it shows how down hill the music industry is these days when i hear a track like this! i read an interview from slade and they said they wanted to be a novelty act and make people smile and they were class i mean read the lyrics "So you think my singin's out of time Well it makes me money And I don't know why " does that not lift you up??? then look at tenacious D there a novelty band and look at their lyrics "this isnt the greatest song in the world but its a tribute" i rest my case! |

the songs about not killing ya self, noel said even tho he liked kurt cobain he was sick of his depressed attitude. he even quoted one of kurts tracks "i hate my self and i want to die" noel said some american millionaire has everything and is depressed about it! noel said he aint got a pot to piss in but he still saw waking up in the morning as the best feeling in the world!!! if you look at the lyrics "maybe i will never be all the things that i want to be, now is not the time to cry nows the time to find out why" sort of dont feel sorry for your self, improve your self! |

"Like a bat out of hell I'll be gone when the morning comes When the night is over Like a bat out of hell I'll be gone gone gone" i think this section backs up what i said he will be gone before you wake up, maybe realising what hes done? "But when the day is done And the sun goes down And the moonlight's shining through Then like a sinner before the gates of heaven I'll come crawling on back to you" i think it means he wants more? i also watched an interview with steinman and he said he wanted to add a motorcycle crash in the song as he has always wanted to?? what are your views on what i said??? listen and look at the song with my view in mind. |
