Nada Surf – Icebox Lyrics 15 years ago
It seems obvious enough to me, it's about death and regret. Having never said what he wanted to say and being mad at (her?) wasted his time. Instead of living he was already dead.

Nada Surf – See These Bones Lyrics 17 years ago
To me, this song is about the beauty and fleetingness of life. As well as the comment XAkitAX made, in the sense that our existence here is infinite. Nothing can change the fact that we lived out our lives on this tiny planet and experienced all that it had to offer, and hopefully left it a better place because of it.

The line:

"The lights in the city are more or less blinking"

Is interesting to me in the sense that, if you imagine observing a city from outer space, that's exactly what you would see... Blinking lights. I guess it's just another visual of how fleeting this life is.

This song belongs on Let Go though. To me, that is the ultimate album to remind you to live instead of lag.

Grateful Dead – Terrapin Station Lyrics 17 years ago
I don't agree with your interpretation of that line at all "twogunterror". I think that by saying "Some Rise, Some Fall, Some Climb to get to Terrapin" that we are all headed to the same place in the end. The final destination being death, which awaits us all. Some fall from high places and imagined wealth, some glide through life to get there and some struggle and wonder, but we all head there. Another interpretation might be the realization of goals in life, which is more what I think "twogunterror" was saying, I'm just leaving the part about people sucking or being successful out. Two very subjective ideas. Who defines success? Some people strugle and have "a hard time livin the good life" but many yet live the most meaningful life.
