I think it's pretty obvious... they're in a marriage and the male character (Ben) realizes that it's all a sham. They live in the same house, share a bed, etc. etc., but they don't know each other. The mannequin verse is pretty important... it's just saying that they just use the spouse for whatever they see fit at the time. Hopefully it's not about his real wife. And Regina Spektor sounds great on this song. |
