| I'm actually pretty sure it's set in Scandinavia ("Solitary houses by the fjord"). Moreover, the song clearly implies that the narrator is the one being visited, and not the other way around. She is concerned about the visitors, and the song seems to be about the uncertainty, confusion and fear of that first encounter. Seems like she fears a marauding Viking party, tbh. | |
