The Birthday Massacre – Nighttime Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Coming back to this years later, I'd say yeah, this song is almost like it's being read from a guy's journal about this fake-love situation. |

The Birthday Massacre – Pale Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song sounds like someone is a manipulater mastermind. Someone clearly causes a lot of trouble and refuses to take responsibility... or something of that nature. |

The Left Rights – Hardonz Lyrics | 13 years ago |
*"must be getting a very messy boy" is what me and all my friends sing. Don't know if it's correct or not, but it works and sounds close enough. |
Angelspit – Paint Hell Red Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Regardless of what Angelspit says, I just studied Little Red Riding Hood in English Class last year and frankly, in the Grimm Brothers version of the story, it's not like Angelspit's lyrics much at all. For example, all the mother says in the story is "Behave yourself on the way, and do not leave the path, or you might fall down and break the glass, and then there will be nothing for your sick grandmother." She does not say ANYTHING about veering off the path because a wolf might come eat, harass, or stalk her. Of course the story may have multiple meanings, like a child can understand why not to talk to strangers, but the story was kind of meant for adults too. The wolf ends up falling alseep after his big meal of grandma and Red, and he gets caught offguard by the huntsman. That's symbolic of gluttony, quite obviously. Not to mention, the last line in that version of the story is by Red, who says, "As long as I live, I will never leave the path and run off into the woods by myself if mother tells me not to." Which has almost to do with her getting eatten. As said prior, her mom didn't tell her "Don't go off the path, or you may be eatten." I guess the story really can be interpreted in different ways, but I wonder in this case, why the hell would Red want revenge if the wolf gets killed by the huntsman anyways? O.o ... and if Shieva wakes, the world supposedly ends, by the way... I have no idea what 'Hindu' belief has to do with Little Red Riding Hood... but whatever... cites: http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/type0333.html#grimm |
The Birthday Massacre – Nighttime Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think the first verse is describing a girl, one of those super-betches... really generally. I think the overall song is from a guy, or another girl's point of view on this wacked up relationship. |
Enya – Flora's Secret Lyrics | 14 years ago |
B&N.com: Who is Flora in "Flora's Secret"? E: This song tells two stories -- one of lovers lying in the long grass on a peaceful, sunny day. The girl's name is Flora. It also tells of "Flora" -- the flowers they are surrounded by. The song was inspired by the various legends given to flowers. For example -- the "one the moon loves" is Endymion. He was the beloved of Seline, the moon, who made Endymion sleep eternally so she could be with him each night. Endymion is the bluebell. And, of course, Flora is the goddess of flowers. http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/interview.asp?CTR=68231 Google can be used for research, people. |
Mindless Self Indulgence – Apple Country Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Okay at least I know I'm not the only person who was scared shitless of this song. |
Mindless Self Indulgence – Planet Of The Apes Lyrics | 15 years ago |
The song is clearly about hating blacks and illegal immigrents and whatnot. The fight about what the US should do and weather in the end it's all really right or wrong. Racism though, like half their other songs... And it does rokk live. |
Mindless Self Indulgence – Masturbates Lyrics | 15 years ago |
television is good - but it is not the best cause nothing beats the feel of your fucking breasts... because that makes more sense... but whatever. According to my lyrics too, I'd think the sond means: Okay, watching boobs on tv is good, but it's not the best. Actually getting to feel yours are better. Maturbating is good, but what's better than that is actually having sex. Perhaps the chorus is talking about his little penis, since there's "nothing but sweat" inside his hands. |
Tommy Shaw – Girls With Guns Lyrics | 15 years ago |
My dad got my into this song. I think it's about this guy who was in love with a girl, but she ends up being stong-minded and independent. She probably verbally attacks the guy, it seems. Lie, he has to be careful of what he's saying, and he has to stand up for himself or whatever. I'm probably completely wrong. |
The Birthday Massacre – Broken Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think, it's about a 'couple' or these'friends' or whatever, and over time this protagonist lost major trust in another person, perhaps from lies this other person told, and suspucting the other was lying, their lies missed the whole 'truth' (the person's real personality) completely, hence verse 1. Then in the chorus, I think it's just like, 'I know you're lying, so that leaves my mind and heart broken, why can't you just tell me the truth because I've been here through our whole relationship, have you NOT SEEN ME HERE!?' verse 2, well, the lies got so swirled up in this huge fantasy, that this other peron is afraid so show their true colors now. The last line of that verse I think refers to the fact that this other person is really decieving and that the 'outer' personality is all fake (all the lies). |
The Birthday Massacre – Lovers End Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I agree with x.dysfunctional.x about the multiple personality disorder. It's almost like, the first part of the chorus, the "Take, just one last dare Pretend you don't care Till twilight falls", is almost like, the more evil side of her. For all we know, the evil personality could've taken control of the girl and buried the guy alive or whatever, and then "Wait, is someone else here? And I can't stop my tears I've never been so scared" might be her personality switching over to the nicer side and being like, 'woah, where's the boy? WTF just happened!?' and the "Calling for the other, searching for her lover Secrets she discovers drain her face of color" is obviously her obliviousness in the nicer personality towards what she's done. The "1.. 2.. 3.. 4 Underneath the cellar floor. 5.. 6..7..8 Lover will suffocate" shows her evil personality (you can even tell by the way she sings it), basically taunting her other, personality. It reminds me of the movie 'Hide And Seek'. The father who has multiple personality disorder doesn't even know he has it. There's a part in the movie too, where he knows someone else is there, (he thinks it's the neighbor who comes to the house to protect the daughter, but the neighbor happens to be there at the wrong time) and really, it's the dad's other personality taking over. I've heard with multiple personality disorder too, once you find out you have it (either on your own or from a doctor) both sides tend to dispute, and usually it's the more diabolical side that results in taking full possession of the body (hence why the songs last lyrics are sung in Chibi's more evil tone, I think). |
Mindless Self Indulgence – Capital P Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I always thought it was I don't want to be the one who's stuck with me when i with my meat out trapped in a room when i start to beat it I don't want to be the one who's touchin' me when i with my meat out jugglin' my balls when a sucka gets a beat down Maybe whip just makes more sense. Either way, this song is constantly on repeat on my playlist. :P |

The Birthday Massacre – The Dream Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It remeinds me of that book 'The Golden Compass' and that whole series with the little girl Lyra. Lyra is young, but full of ambition ["She never did what they told her to"], and hears many tales from other people, half relfecting on her own life ["The edge of revelation, believing all the stories told...A final moment taken before this story's end unfolds"], and visits all sorts of worlds and makes many accomplishments ['It never crossed my mind that one so young could hope to find a power greater then my own."] although at times she is majorly underestimated.["Her gloroius intentions, a sea of doubt beneath her own"] |
