It seems to me like everyone is working for no reason. In the chorus it says, "all this working just to tear it down". That seems like everyone is working really hard at their jobs for no real goal. The just work to tear down the old and make bigger and newer. He also says, "Language City don't mean a thing to me." This indicates that even though the character presumably lives or knows enough about it that he doesn't really care for this city development. It also just gives me the feeling of everyone being too busy to deal with people, as in the we are not at home part. |

I think its about a guy that is trying hard to forget the memories of the relationship, but everything keeps reminding him of it and he can't seem to escape, found in "I found a hotel room where I tried to escape you."
The "mirror" represents his memory of her and it also represents his former self being in the relationship. His is cracked because he can't get past the relationship and he wants her to feel the same way and "smash your mirror".
