Pac was (and still is) one of the best rappers ever. But I see him as more of a poet than a rapper. Read his poetry...the dude was deep! I hate when people dismiss him like he was just some thug or criminal. Yeah, the guy made some mistakes, but don't we all? Tupac sang from the heart and his messages are universal; we can ALL gain perspective from him. He was before his time, very intelligent,and true to himself. This is my favorite Tupac song. No one ever comments on the really good songs! This song is beautiful and it always gives you that happy feeling,even when things are not goin your way. I especially love the end where he says "Right now..." It always makes me smile. And yes, this song was on boyz in da hood and crooklyn also. |

As with most of you, I simply CAN'T believe there are less than 10 comments on this song! It's so beautiful it brings me near tears everytime I hear it. I think the lyrics are pretty self-explanatory; about the environment and all. But I can see a little deeper into it, like he's longing for something that used to be, and it just saddens him immensely. Love this song; especially the ending. |

As with all songs, only the person who wrote it knows the inspiration behind it, but everyone takes it to mean what they want it to mean. This song is really cool... it has that tripped out, dreamy beat and the lyrics complement that. I agree with what someone said before about taking a picture to remember something good that happened in your life. Life slips by us all so fast, and there are so many things and people I wish I would've gotten an actual picture of, but that's okay, I have their picture on my heart. |

You are right miss murder.We ALL put others in this situation without realizing or caring about it, but when WE are in this situation, it feels like the end of the world. Something that I've come to realize is that we have love unattainable people because it's safer that way. It's hard to express feelings to those closest to us, and sometimes you're afraid to fall in love with someone because love is a dangerous thing. But if someone is gone, you can love them all you want in your mind and get the results you want. They can't hurt you that way. I know it sounds weird, but there's a lot of truth to it. I know there have been a lot of guys that would tell me we were perfect for each other, but I just wasn't feelin it, ya know. That's what this song expresses; that confusion. |

Amerie has her own style and does her own thing. This song is a certified banger! She's finding herself getting wrapped up in this guy and she can't exactly figure out why, just that it's this 'one thing.' To me, this song sums up what probably everybody has felt at some point: desperation! The singer is either devastated by a recent breakup or in a relationship doomed to fail.He's obsessing over everything that happened, what he said, what he failed to say,etc. He's going crazy over this person, and he can't do it anymore.He imagines things are fine, but then he realizes that he's just fantasizing. Genuine outpouring of emotion. Great song. |

Love 311! Have since high school when no one even heard of them and everyone made fun of me for being obsessed with them! He's basically saying like when he thinks of her, he goes away to some other place. I love the line "I gotta tell you something", cuz thats how it is when u in love u think of so many things to say, but you don't know exactly what; just thats its 'something'. and the whole "nothing good comes easily, sometimes you gotta fight". You can't just walk away when there are obstacles, some things are worth fighting for. |

GREAT SONG! I too believe that this song is about a love that has gone sour and it's sad to look at that person and know that they don't love you anymore. And You're trying to hold on to whatever's left. But I also agree that maybe the girl has just been through so much that she can't bring herself to love or care for anyone anymore(And I can definitely relate!) Either way,it's sad. |

I love this song. I think its about a relationship that maybe shouldn't have happened in the first place; but all of a sudden there you are in the middle of it and you have these feelings. But theres no possible way this relationship is gonna work, so you go through the motions for a while until one person decides to end it. And even though it was something that had to be done, you still feel guilty and sad about losing that person. |

I have always liked this song ever since I heard it but I never knew the name or who sang it. It always sounded a little sarcastic to me; I never looked real deep into it. I always perceived it as a spurned lover watching someone drown after they had done them wrong. Like saying "ha ha you're finally getting what you deserve." Like you cared about someone and kept giving them chances but they took you for granted. But reading the lyrics and all these responses makes me think about it differently. Reality tends to meet the observer's expectations. |
