Everytime I come to realise such deep meaning about a Bloc Party song I love them even more. Kele is amazing with his lyrics and his ability to fit them with the music in a unique way is absolutely wonderful. As with I Still Remember, Where Is Home and England, Talons became so much better when I read about the HIV-theories. I completely agree with it. "And when it comes it will feel like a kiss" is the moment, the sweet moment of sex, but the bitter moment of recieving HIV. About the slut sentence, i think the narrator means himself. He has always gone under the impression of himself as someone who never slept with alot of people. Therefore he didn't need protection and that was his excuse all along. And now he got caught by surprise, he wasn't a slut, right? The lyrics are amazing, but the music is really great as well. Can't wait for them to come to Sweden. |
