I think this song is about anyone, who wrestles with anything, and theres a defining moment here this person realizes the truth, when the lights go down, all they can see is the real them, who they really are. like at the begining 'Wrestling the devil that tells him to pour another round' when the lights go down, he no longer see's the pain, but the man behind the pain, the truth. |

I don't necessarly think this is about a certian event, I think its about living with it, learning to deal with it. Finding out that it doesnt control you, waking up to it, realizing how much more of you, you can discover without this thing, whatever it may be, taking over all of you, letting it control you, loving yourself. A beautiful song, beautiful music, one of my absloute favorites. |

I love this song. I think it can mean so much. When you first listen to it it sounds like shes waking up next to the person she loves, and that makes sense. but also if you look at it a little more it could also be a struggle to wake them up. When you know you want to tell someone for their benifit but may not benifit you, "Oh rain, fall too hard So I can keep you Oh rain, don’t follow through Follow through, don’t follow" and weather it comes trhoguh, weather she 'wakes them up' she wants to make sure they know she loves them, and that she sees gold in them. beautiful song |

I love this song. I think its beautiful. To me it shows a struggle between a couple where they're having a hard time before, and then it hits rock bottom. They have nothing but each other, and he's okay with that. To him she's everything. His house, his possesions, its okay if he loses all of that. All he needs is her. It seems like he proves himself to her throughout the song. He starts out as just a boy, then hes holding onto her, he's telling her not to let go. I like how love is portrayed in this song. I love how he makes it bigger then anything. Because this song reminds me of real love, the kind that can withstand any struggle, and where love is all that matters. Its a beautiful song. |
