This song is obviously about disconnecting from the whole world for a moment. Some things don't feel right at times and things could just be going so terribly for you and you just want to get away from everything. "I've lost too many friends along the way" "They fade and blow away" Aaron is saying throughout life you will lose loved ones and seeming that the song is very emotional he is saying it through a hurt point of view. In life everyone loses loved ones and by getting away from the whole world "they fade and blow away" and by doing this you are getting rid of the hurt. I've always wondered if this song was about smoking weed to get away from problems. Just touching down on a deep point of view but I'm sure Aaron is pretty into weed and other drugs. I notice smoking causes people to disconnect from the world and by saying "Faces that I've seen turn old and grey" it seems to me that after being hurt by many things the certain person begins to smoke and everything that you used to care about fades and blows away. I doubt it's related to smoking but the song is about disconnecting from the world and the line "faces that i've seen turn old and grey" just seems like the world being in a haze and the faces you used to once recognize are just plain and grey now that you are disconnected from the world. No idea but it's probably just about disconnecting from the world in general |
