I love this song, though it's far from being the best in the album, again, this is the selling song of the album, even my sister that don't like this kind of music think it's nice... but CoF don't suppose to be nice.. This song have it's role on the album though, the idea is to show that once Gilles was a man of god, and that he knew feelings like love, devotion and sadness, possesing a human heart, before he became the "wolf". In my opinion this is why this song is so soft and non brutal unlike the rest of this awesome album. It also play a part in the conclusion when Gilles return to the embrace of god in the end, it's a very nice circle in which Gilles change his skin and faces. |

This song is about selling the Nymph album to other people rather then stick to the true black metal way that CoF had so far, this song is a pop song, and I am sure that 80% of the people here think that the Overdose version is ugly and that CoF should have sticked to the short pop song version instead.. I really can't believe that from all of CoF's awesome songs this song got so much attention, this song is on the edge of being a pop song, CoF are a Black Metal band, while I love the idea behind the Nymph album, which is addictions and carnal desires, this is really not even close to any of CoF's other albums.. I am really sad to see little comments on really awesome albums like Damnation, Cruelty and and Dusk, and see more comments on albums like Nymph and Thorn, which in my opinion are very good on the conceptual and lyrical levels, but very very low and non black metal on the musical levels. To make it clear, CoF are my favorite band and I will listen to the forever, and I am so f**king glad that they came back to the true black metal way again with the so much awesome album Godspeed.. CoF FTW! \m/ |
