| Geez people. Yes, it's all fine and good and sweet to think that this is about finding his "soulmate" or whatever, but did anyone bother to consider that it might be about religion? I mean, if someone stops and takes a hard look at their life, realizing that time is passing faster and faster and that they want to be led into the life/reality that they ultimately should be living, I think God (or any deity, depending on the faith of Anders and the faith of anyone interpreting the song) is a perfectly viable interpretation. I know that I, personally, would feel a lot safer and hopeful asking a Higher Power to help me, rather than just another human being, no matter how much they mean to you. Just sayin'. | |

Hahahaha, no offense to some of you posters, but WOW, I can't believe how dense some people are! Lesbians? An affair that results in a kid? LOOK, you can't take everything at face value all the time, ESPECIALLY when it comes to music. Just because a female is providing the vocals for this song does NOT mean that it is her "singing to / about the other woman referred to in the song." What I personally think makes the most sense is that a very deep, meaningful relationship between a man and a woman is slowly crumbling because the woman has allowed herself to change or is subconsciously putting something else ahead of the relationship as far as priorities go {it could be anything - drugs, work, just anything at all that someone can get so wrapped up in that they put their relationship on the back burner}. There are times when it seems like she is coming out of it and realizing how important the relationship is, so she goes back to how she used to be {the woman he really loves}, but it never lasts for long, hence the chorus "It looks like You won't be staying round Given the time And your mood You look a lot like her And you look so like You won't be staying around Here in this half light You look a lot like her." Meaning she looks a lot like who she used to be and who he wants her to go back to being. |

I found a few errors, which are as follows: Second verse, where it says "But I'm hiding, no one knows .. they don't" - there should actually be a "where" in front of no one knows. Third verse, the last four lines should read "Are you fine? I still need to know, that you find, muse in memory." Other than that, the lyrics are correct. Such a beautiful song! ^_^ |

Two of the lines are mixed up. The second line should read "it may have seemed too much like confidence" and the sixth line should read "it may have seen too much, the consequence" - other than that, the lyrics seem to be correct. Great song! |
