wow people. u kno ur all making this harder then it really is? its not about cocain its not about wasting urself and hiding from ur problems its not happy-go-lucky vacation song either its about finding a state of mind where nothing seems wrong. Margaritaville is aparently wat jimmy calls his "happy place." everyone has a little escape in their head weather we want to admit it or not. urs may not have a name like buffet's, but u do have that one place where ur mind goes when u just want to get away from it all. so yea..not that hard to figure out ppl. |

um, I would care if they all died. these guys are an insperation. they have to be the best thing that's happened to music since the beatles. and not only is there music absolutly AMAZING, but the boys themselves are just too great for words. they wear purity rings. saving yourself until after marrige shows what gentlemen they are. they would respect any girl and this deffinatly shows they aren't pigs, which is more than i can say for most boys. also, THEY THEMSELVES write their music, not some company. this shows their passion for what they do. they sit down and take the time to write their songs. that to me is just...wow. sorry for my little rant there, but i gotta stick up for my boys. these guys are amazing and anybody who says different obviously doesn't know anything. these guys are respectable GENTLEMEN. for me i'm not all over them cuz their hot, i like the fact that they are just...they would respect you as a woman. so yea you just need to shut up cuz every girl in america would be heartbroken if they died. |

i don't think this is about kevin's ex. it could be, but here's what i got out of it. the boys are tired of girls falling all over them just because their hot or their rich or their famous. they want a girl who loves them for who they are, not cuz their a jobro. a video girl is probably refferng to a girl who dates them for publicity. possibly kevin's ex was a video girl, but i don't think this song is reffering to JUST her. the boys don't want to date girls who love them cuz their hot! they want someone who loves them for who they are. |

i went to the jobro concert in st. louis and nick was saying that he did write this song cause he has diabetes, but that isn't fully why. he said he wrote it to help people get through any rough time in their life. you could have just had a love one die, you could have recived the news that you have cancer, your bf/gf could've just broken up with you, anything. "you don't know what you got till it's gone. and you don't know what it's like to feel so alone." i feel like he's talking directly to me when he sings this song. nick is so insperational. |

this song pretty much tells my life's story: she's totally in love with this guy who seems to have been her friend for a long time (otherwise why would he tell her about a girl he likes?). He talks about his girlfriend all the time and she just fakes like she's happy for him but secretly she's in love with him and he's so freaking niave that he doesn't see it. it's just breaking her heart and i'm guessing that the "teardrops on my guitar" is implying that she writes songs about him and crys while writing. but yea i cry when i hear this song cuz it totally just pretty much tells the story of the guy i'm in love with. |

this song is great. he wrote it for his brother, adam, i'm pretty sure. it's probably talking about how he's afraid for adam. you can see that when he says "forgive my broken promise that you'll never see me cry." that also could lead people to belive its about how he's trying to stay strong in front of his brother. also he doesn't want adam to think he's going to give up hope for him or that he'll leave him- "I'm permanent", hence the song title. finally it could be about how he want's it all to be over and want's his brother to stop suffering- "i know he's living in hell every single day..." in my opinion its probably all three of those and more. but yea, it's about his brother obviously. |

| i was anxious to see what people said the meaning of this song was. i wasn't sure and me being me i thought it was actually about cowboys at first but then i realized that "steel horse" is in there. so then i got thinking and thought that maybe by "steel horse" they were reffering to a train like the indians used to called them (or maybe they called them iron horses but you get the idea). So maybe it could be about traveling and life on the road. i don't know, i'm not the sharpest crayon in the box, but great song. kinda gives you a lonly feeling when ya listen to it. | |
