I personally think that this song is about a girl who grew up with her father not really around a lot at first so she realizes that he really is just trying to buy her love back. Then maybe she gets upset and has to leave. But this time she's met someone special, but because of her father maybe she's scared and runs although all she really wants is someone to want her and be there for her and finding that scares her. Then the boy feels he should run as well. This is probably not what it was meant to be lol, but to me it personally makes a ton of sense because I've been in that situation and that's how I felt. So I ran. |
