| Fleet Foxes – Tiger Mountain Peasant Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Did Pecknold write these lyrics? I'm deeply impressed with his frequent ambiguous annunciation ..wonderous/wanderers (noted above) is an example. The lyric works both ways. The ability to write lyrics which affect multiple ways is startling, brilliant, Jungian, engrossing, overwhelming. When i lost someone so dear, my hypersensitive mind continually found layers and connections in what should have been mundane events otherwise. Listening to this song i begin to fall back into that state of sensitivity. Jesse .. Jesus?... the psyche confessing it's darkness as loss, mourning and (survivor?) guilt overtake. 3/4 count..it's a waltz.. yes, beautiful. Murder thesis is clever but it seems more like a funeral procession than a search party.."they do not know you anymore" I'd rather see part written this way: You tell me everything anything true -ambiguous, effective multiple ways- |
