i think the song is about having a positive perspective on what may seem like a bad situation. he loved his girlfriend, he knocked her up...put them in a shitty situation because they werent ready for marriage nevermind a baby. obviously it didnt work out becuase he didnt try to make it work or appreciate his wife so she ends up leaving him and he makes it so it seem like she is the bitter person. he only takes his kid out when the bar is closed, he doesnt appreciate his child but when the child questions his existance it sheds light to him eventuallt that the child shouldnt be a burden but is a gift and so was the childs mother. you basically never realize what you have and its significance until its gone. |

it's about a one night stand..or rather deciding whether it is going to be one. guy and girl drunk at a party.... love at first slightly drunk translates into love at first sight but of course when your drunk your judgement of sight and anything in general is not at its best...i also think alot of people when they are drunk do things they wouldn't normally do sober and use their drunkness as an accuse. In the morning when the party is over and they are sobered up they will deal with the reality of the situation. |

this is an amazing song what i first thought it was about was... A man and woman who have had relationship that was very brief and the girl takes the relationship more seriously than the guy. Because the girl had taken it much more seriously she hadnt recieved any closure from its ending...so seeing him again reminds her of what they had together and why it was special but also why it didnt work. When they see eachtother again of course she remembers exactly who he is and he is struggling to remember her name.(just shows she cared more) There encounter with eachother helps her with closure and the ability to realize the relationship that looked as if it had a chance to last couldnt do so without a mutual feeling from his part. BEST part: There's one thing I have to say so I'll be brave You were what I wanted I gave what I gave I'm not sorry I met you I'm not sorry it's over I'm not sorry there's nothing to save..(i thought it was say?) I'm not sorry there's nothing to save but regardless of whether its save or say it finally shows that their running into eachother brought closure for her finally I personally like the song because i feel like i have experienced what the girl has gone through. Even though the relationship i was in wasnt brief..it was like seeing him brought back alot of good memories but theres also the fact that something happened and it showed that he really didnt care as much as i did. Im not upset that it happened because it changed my life in a postive way but at the same time im glad the relationship is over and ill keep what i learned from it |

first time i heard it, i thought of a protest for something... "i love when you tell me not to speak" but now the idea of prostitute makes more sense especially in regards to the rest of the lyrics haha |
