Why hasn't anyone commented this song! I think it's personally, amazing. I look at this from either way, it could either be about being bullied OR watching someone being cheated on. "What did I do to deserve this? Tell me the truth and don't lie You're pretty good at that But no, not this time You walk around like you run the world Running your mouth and talking about me now They think that you're the perfect girl They're gonna see everything So get back" Basically - she's found out the truth/sick of being bullied, thus the whole "lie" thing and she's about to tell everyone who this girl really is. "You feel your heart beat deep down Ignoring the shame and causing this pain Just get out" She's saying here that the person that's bullying/cheating on the person - ignores the remorse and a conscience she'll have for what she's doing. "It's gonna come back around You know that this town is just too small And I'm too tall to take this again You're just too adverse But I've got news You know you're just gonna lose Everything and everyone that means so much to you" She's basically saying here, that really - once everyone finds out about what's happened, she will lose everyone and everything around her will collapse. This reminds me of my dad. Reminds me of somebody passing away, especially these two bits. "Well, this is not your fault But if I'm without you then I will feel so small And if you have to go We'll always know that you shine brighter Than anyone does" Basically what that means to me is that it isn't their fault for dying, but because they're gone; you feel so vulnerable, "small". And if they have to die, they will still know in their hearts that that certain person will always shine bright in their life. "And I'll wave goodbye Watching you shine bright And I'll wave goodbye tonight" What this means to me basically is that they know that they've passed away, so they're not mourning their death - they're just saying goodbye, for when they meet next; watching them shine as bright as they used to when they were alive. This is my favourite Paramore song. Kudos to them, really. |

Only fourteen comments for this amazing song? My opinion on this song is that they're both so in love with each other that they are each other metaphorically, explaining that they're "inseparable" I think somehow they are talking about fame too, as it says; "I would give it up Just to show you I'm in love Cause you know we're inseparable" I think that means they'd give up fame, singing and their celebrity lifestyle just to show her how much he loves her. Also an example of how it could be reflected on their fame is; "And even when we're miles and miles apart You're still holding all of my heart" I think that also means when he's halfway across the world, he just wants her to know that she's got his heart - he loves her so much that even if they aren't together; he still loves her very much. This is one of my favourite songs by the Jonas boys. And who cares who it's about? It's a beautiful song, showing raw emotion and it is truly inspirational. They are my idols, I look up to them so much. Keep on creating beautiful songs, boys - you're making your fans so proud of you. (: |
