Guns N' Roses – The Blues Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This is probably not about axl himself; and yet somehow it seems to fit (on a certain level). Can you imagine being a product / image that was created so long ago in another part of your life ... which is now all that can be seen (which is intended when creating a "product / image"). Stuck in those shadows of who you were. Something that seemed cool and awesome at the time. Yet an older and wiser version of yourself can see it better for what it is / was. |

Why? It's right here. You already have it. I was looking something fun and new on Chinese Democracy and it's what I found. =) |
Guns N' Roses – Better Lyrics | 15 years ago |
ICK! I hate all the "it's not Guns N Roses" It's been 20 years, life changes, people change, music changes... and it's just the title of a band. So What?! It's about the music, the emotions... Love or Hate it based on the right measures. Slash rocks! Axl is a genius! I respect both (musically). Though I have to admit that I lost respect for Slash when he went public with the comments and book. Seems like it all should have remained private. Fuck the public. I don't need to know their business. I have my own life to contend with and I don't know those people. It would seem like Slash sold Axl out and betrayed him. Not saying there isn't more to what all went on beyond the publics view (obviously there was), but, it should have remained there (out of the publics eyes). |

I know this is going to piss people off, but, I didn't feel Slash's absence on this album at all. I mean it'd be cool to have Slash, Duff and Izzy back in the GnR line up; I am a huge fan of theirs as well. However, Axl (and the others) rocked just fine without them (just my opinion). |

Guns N' Roses – Chinese Democracy Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Is it just me is there an ironic twist to the fact that this album is called Chinese Democracy? Somehow I don't think this has anything to do with the chinese government. Then again, only fools assume. |
Guns N' Roses – Prostitute Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This album has so much raw emotional power. WOW. This album is freakin' amazing; epic! |
Guns N' Roses – This I Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
It is to the point, pure and honest. You can feel every single emotion is this song. A song like this does not need complex lyrics. It's stripped down to just raw emotions. |
Guns N' Roses – Sorry Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I do a lot of writing and I have always found that even when I start out writing about one thing, many things still find their ways into my writing. I would think this is true for most writers. This song could be just about anyone around him (and maybe even a little about himself as well -- GnR lyrics oddly seemed like they could be about Axl himself, lol). Old GnR members, media, old romances, family members, fans... all definately seem the most obvious. "I'll kick your ass like I said I would" (makes me think of "get in the ring") -- directed to the media. "Just shut up and sing" (reminds me of the dixie chicks) -- fans wanted her to keep her opinions to herself, just shut up and sing. There are so many things I pick up in this song and it really could be directed to so many people (and probably is). Fans only see a small portion of celebritys lives and don't know these people. There is so much more then meets the eye that can be within their songs. When I listen to music, there is only a small part that wonders what they were refering to, mostly it just reverbs off my inner self. That is the magic of the music (imo). |
