I think this song is about a couple who's been together for a while, they used to be an amazing couple but now they're just existing as a relationship. And he knows that whenever the girl thinks back on the relationship, the only memories she'll think back on are the ones where he did bad things. But now he's older and more mature and wants her to forget all the things over the duration of the relationship that he said that was bad. He also points out that she too was cruel and would actually plot on how to hurt him with her friends, but he doesn't care about that and wants to move past it. And tonight he's supporting her and their relationship (singing along). That's all I got. |
