This song is about someone trying to "fix" you in an unwanted way. The narrator of this song is dealing a person who thinks there is something wrong with them and that they need changing. Shaun just wants this person to leave him alone though. And every time time he think's he's gotten rid of his problem, his mental abuser comes back for another round. He doesn't want to change, at least not in the way this person wants to change him. The things this person are saying to him are really screwing with his head and causing him to doubt everything about himself, and all he wants is to get his security back. |

Seems pretty clear to me that this song is about trying to free yourself from the expectations of the world around you. Virginia is a reference to both his mother and the state. I think this song was written about a time in his life where he was making his own choices about what to do with his life, and it wasn't necessarily approved of by those important to him. And it's probably a shout out to all his fans that may be experiencing the same thing. "Ain't that the way it always starts A simple round of conversation Became a shameful equation" About a conflict of ideas. Someone doesn't like what he has chosen to do with his life, and just simple conversation brings up tension and disapproval. "Don't say there's nothing more to say Come on, hear me out, hush, hush, settle down Button up don't make a sound Shame, shame, go away Come again some other day" Basically saying please just let me explain that I want to go on my own path. All he wants is to stop being looked at as shameful for his choices. "You used to say I couldn't save you enough So I've been savin' it up, I started savin' it up And when you said I couldn't give you enough, I started givin' you up, I started givin' you up" He may have been finding the normal route of life wasn't working for him. And no matter how much of himself he put into doing what he was told was the right thing to do, someone still thought he should be able to do more. He's realizing that he has to worry about himself, not what everyone expects from him. "You are not me, Arlandria, Arlandria, You and what army, Arlandria, Arlandria," Some people find happiness and comfort just doing whats always been done and staying true to their roots. But some people are not. They are individualists, and they need to carve out their own life, and that's what this means, he is wanting to not be defined by where he came from, and he knows that no one can stop him once he choses to go his own way. I'm not going through the whole song because there are a LOT of lyrics, but you can see the general pattern I'm illustrating here. |

| Keith Urban – Everybody Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think LPATWCT is by far his best, he shows much more technical ability, and shows his versatility in this album more than in the rest. Anyways, everybody needs somebody, so true. | |
| Keith Urban – Days Go By Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I have this song on cassette. It is on an album called IV, but it's not the Led Zeppelin IV with the four symbols and all that, I'm thinking it might have been part of a box set, but I'm not sure. This tape was produced by Atlantic in the early 90's and with this song is Whole Lotta Love, Your Time is Gonna Come, Friends, Celebration Day, and a few others. I got it at a flea market, never heard of it before. Anyways... cool song, I like when Jimmy just does his thing like on this one. |

To me it seems like it's about how their popularity spread throughout the world. On this album,"The Ocean" is dedicated to their fans, and when they whisper (sorry I couldn't think of a better word) "five" repeatedly near the end of "D'Yer Mak'er", it is referencing this as their fifth album. So, if my interpretation was correct, this would only follow suit. BTW, I love the upbeat sound to this one, it makes me happy. |

I think maybe the angel on his shoulder and the gold sword are protecting him from Satan. I'm not a good interpreter though. BTW: with all the satanism flying around here, it reminds me of something I've always wanted to say - Fuck Off roadrunner99!!!! |

| Led Zeppelin – Down by the Seaside Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I don't see the country here. Maybe it's cause I'm trying to block it out, as I also hate country with a passion anymore, except Keith Urban, he's cool(I spent the last 16 years of my life listening to country, I finally broke away and haven't looked back). Not my favorite Zep song, but it's nice and relaxing. | |
| Led Zeppelin – No Quarter Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I go along with the "the vikings are coming" approach | |
| George Thorogood – Madison Blues Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| My other favorite thorogood song, along with Delaware Slide. Gotta love his first album. | |
| George Thorogood – Delaware Slide Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think it's about him finally leaving the "wrong woman" and realising that he never should have strayed so far from home in the first place. Don't really care what it means though, it's such a cool song. Definately my all time favorite. | |
