After listening to this song many times and seeing the band preform it, I believe it's about the consequences of our actions catching up with us. While "we" were working on "this" over "here" we knew it was causing "that" but didn't pay attention because it didn't directly affect us. Now the consequences have come in the image of a barely clothed, emaciated, aching woman and we are reeling backwards over what we have done, while knowing all the time this was coming. |
