Axl is still in pain, just like anyone who has been in love or infatuated by someone and thought they were the one. You may never get that person out of the crevices of your memory. I truly believe you only meet one of those people in your life, you can give it a name like soul mate. But whatever its a person that you were in love with and cant get. The feelings were not mutual. Once in awhile sober our drunk you pray in bed and hope its loud enough for that person to here you screaming you love them and why wont they answer............... its so painful and sad, but so many people go through it and some look down on you, but what can you do when you cant forget "the One" |

I think this song is about a lifetime of trying to block "the one" out of your memory. When Axl speaks down to "the one" he is just trying to kid himself into hating her. The truth is he will always see her in the beautiful things in life and its sucking the life out of axl. |
