It sounds to me that this song is about a man who is in love with and has an affair with a married woman or perhaps just a woman that "belongs" to someone else. "Her bag is now much heavier"....she now has to deal with the guilt of what she has done. That being said, the line "This is our ungodly hour" is pretty self-explanatory. |

I personally think this song is about unrequited love. Two friends, one of which is in love with the other one, but that person doesn't love them back in the same way...i.e. "I need something more from you" |

I think this is about a girl settling ...she's waited for so long for that "knight in shining armor", but gives up---"he doesn't look a thing like Jesus"...meaning he is not perfect, not what she was looking for....I also think this is being told through the eyes of someone very much in love with the girl...he is watching her settle...knowing that he should be with her. |

Basically I think this is about a teenage relationship...the guy is in love with the girl..she is not in love with him, but has a sexual relationship with him anyway i.e. "Oh well I don't mind if you don't mind
cuz I don't shine if you don't shine". I think she casts him aside for other guys and keeps the relationship with him secret....and he just keeps trying to get her to love him like he loves her. Atleast that is what I take from it. |

I think this song is about the age-old debate of free will vs. predestination or as Brandon so brillantly puts it: "Are we human or are we dancer". |

I think that this song is about the pressures of the music biz....I think he is referring to the sort of corruption that comes with the success, what you have to give up of yourself to make it, how much you have to sell out, etc. It's like he has this struggle to choose between the lesser of two evils...he can have the old regular 9-5 job and be somewhat poor or he can make the big bucks, but give up a lot to have that.(I don't wanna be kept, I don't wanna be caged, I don't wanna be damned, oh hell I don't wanna be broke, I don't wanna be saved, I don't wanna be S.O.L.)
