These lines are missing in the lyrics. "Oh my Julia, I'll never betray you my love Oh my Julia, I'll never, I'll never betray you my love" A lot of people think it's Juliet but if you listen carefully enough, you'll hear Julia. Which then is a direct reference to a pivotal scene in George Orwell's 'Nineteen Eighty-Four', where the main character Winston declares that he will never betray Julia, but in the end, he does exactly that. Just thought that added an interesting spin on the song. Thoughts? |
