i definitely see where CC Sleeping Sickness is coming from. to me it wraps up how lonely and terrible you feel after a break-up. and all you want is someone to come save you from the loneliness and you can't imagine that you'll ever get out of the pit you've fell in. |

i think this song is about how he's with someone but thinks that it's about to end, like there's no real connection. and that through this relationship they've changed, changing the relationship. |

i think this song is brilliant. it is one of my favorite ryan adams songs. i think he's talking about an ex who it didn't end well with. they stopped speaking when it was over and he doesn't know her or what she's up to but looking at that picture just brought all the numb feeling of being alone and hurt. their relationship was great at first but just faded out like a dance and all they could do in the end was cry. |
