Muse – Thoughts of a Dying Atheist Lyrics 16 years ago
As an atheist (and I wont accept otherwise, so dont preach, ill tell you my opinion, but I wont preach it to you) this song refers to a lot of thoughts that pass through my mind on the subject of dying and a fear of it something that I can definately relate to. So to me this song is simply outlining the 'Thoughts of a Dying Atheist' (surprisingly :/). Fear, panic, regret, relief, doubt and an endless list of adjectives that I imagine would cross the mind of a dying atheist and this song refers to a number of them. As far as Im aware Bellamy is an atheist as he believes not in a creator or afterlife as such but in alternate races/species that may well be our superiors I should imagine. Which to me is far far more plausible than 'God'.

I Am Kloot – Twist Lyrics 17 years ago
Marriage, Sex, Love, Losing your virginity, Possibly drugs references and everything in between.

The chorus is so horrifically, in a good way, about literally losing your virginity. Some of the rawest lyrics Ive ever heard.

'devotion' through everything ('falling in the ocean') could be a marriage/relationship

possibly a past marriage/relationship, thats now broken, hense the 'there was a time', but implication to me is its not like that now

beautiful song nonetheless

MGMT – Kids Lyrics 17 years ago
Being a kid, growing up and having your own kids?
Growing up in general though I think.

"Control yourself, Take only what you need from it"
-Probably along the lines of growing and learning to have things in proportion, keeping on top of things.

Trees symbolise life and growth. The first verse is being a kid and the second being an adult to me. Something of a contrast between the two, maybe highlighting the similarities.
