Fall Out Boy – Sugar, We're Goin Down Lyrics 17 years ago
Haha i think it's a bit funny that everyone's taking the god vs. gun debate so strongly. My take on it? it's god.

A God Complex is when someone feels all powerful
A gun complex doesn't exist.

Yes, it's a bit confusing if you just listen to the words, and yes, in that case gun does fit better. But it's a metaphor, people! He's saying the guy she's with HAS a god complex, and he's dying to be with that girl. It's a LOADED complex because he's gonna blow him away...metaphorically speaking. Hence, loaded god complex, cock it and pull it. Loaded like a gun, which will be destroyed. Hopefully this clears a few things up.

Josephine Collective – It's Like Rain Lyrics 17 years ago
I have no clue what the guys truly wrote this song about...but what it makes me think of is two people who are in love, and one of them leaves for a great opportunity somewhere else...

"This is where i wanna be" like he wants to be wherever she is in that moment. Maybe he knows eventually they'll be separated but for now he wants to stay with her ("Making the most of what we got before it ends")

Then it seems like he's trying to convince her and himself it's best for her to take the opportunity (job or college or wherever) "This is your one chance/ Hell if you'll waste it/ I can't let it happen/ I love you too much"...yes, he wants to be with her, but he loves her enough to want what's best for her. "No matter where the wind blows us/ we've always got eachother/ and we're dancing this dance on time."

Then in the second verse when he says "This is where I wanna be/ when the summer sun comes crashing down/ and makes that autumn sound...cause that's the only way/ that we'll make it through the biting cold/ yeah if we hold close to the warmth/ that resonates in our bones" If you related this to her going away for college, for example, it's like he's saying in autumn when she's gone he'll miss her and want her to be with him, but they'll be able to hold on if they just think of the "warmth" of summer instead of the "biting cold" of winter.

At the bridge, then, "what i'm saying could save you" could simply mean he wants her to understand that this is what's right for her.

i don't think that's what they were going for, but it does kinda fit. I do get what justpassingthrough was saying though, it would make sense taken as someone attempting suicide too.
